Walker Sound has provided sound and services for annual events such as the London International Boat Show (26 years) and the London International Ski and Snowboard Show (15 years) despite numerous changes in management.

During the 1997 election campaign, Walker Sound supplied the sound requirements for the Liberal Democrats election rally, (no political preference). Four systems were needed including the press center in London, and the main Star, and Ashdown tours. These were set up in quick succession from Aberdeen to Somerset and covered twelve venues in two weeks. For the following years we supplied sound for the Eastbourne, Bournmouth, and Brighton conferences, all of which were covered by live TV and radio.

Walker Sound has also provided engineering services to " Sound Hire " for the 3 Tenors in Barcelona and Paris, also the opening of the Welsh assembly concert at Cardiff. Other events have included, Pavarotti in the Park and at Leeds Castle. Andrea Bocelli in Dublin, and BBC`s Showtime at the Millennium Stadium in Cardiff.

Walker Sound has also provided engineering services for Summer XS at the Milton Keynes Bowl for artists including McFly, Daniel Bedingfield, Rooster, Jem, Charlotte Church and Texas.

The Live 8 concert in Hyde Park also stretched resources. Walker Sound again engineered for Sound Hire who were providing equipment for Delta Sound for two large relay screens at the southern end of Hyde Park and one in Regents Park. 

Walker Sound's other exhibitions and conferences have included the main stage theatre events and shows for Erotica at Olympia and Manchester G-MEX, and the BBC Good Food Show at the NEC, for numerous years . For more details on past projects, please see our Client Portfolio.

Our policy is to maintain equipment to the highest standards and regularly check for electrical safety.

Walker Sound carries full public liability to 5 million. PAT Test Certificates, Risk Assessments, and Method Statements, are available upon request. Each system is checked before every event or hire, plus on site technical service or replacement if required.

Each event carries an array of backup for key items, cable, and service tools. If a requirement may have been overlooked, it’s normally found with us, not back at the warehouse. Cabling and systems are set up to be visually neat and tidy. We are available outside normal working hours to ensure that your show is a success. Our engineers are hand picked to be fully experienced, reliable, presentable, and on time, with common sense and regard for health and safety issues.

Walker Sound also holds an extensive music library, of sound effects and soundtracks for any event, launch, or presentation, with the facility of digital editing on site.
